On 18th June 2010, MTCP-ITMPS delegation consisting of 30 members from 11 different countries visited Quantum Beez. The event was organized by MTDC where selected companies were invited to give a short presentation on their products and services and also participate in a dialogue session with the delegation.

QB-UMMC Novel Bioninformatics Software using Semantic Knowledgebase

QB in collaboration with University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) has been awarded a research grant under the MGS (MDeC) to undertake a project entitled "Development of Novel Bioinformatics Software to Predict the Dynamics of Dengue Virus Antigenic Epitopes in recurring Dengue outbreaks in Malaysia."

The MARA delegation led by Mr. Ibrahim bin Ahmad, Director, Education and Training, visited Quantum Beez (QB) on 11th February 2010. A presentation followed by a discussion on QB’s business offerings and how it can add value to MARA’s E-Learning initiatives was the highlight of the event. The two parties agreed to explore technology co-operation in the field of E-learning, semantic technology, training and certification services and IT infrastructure enhancements.

Quantum Beez (QB) conducted training on Advanced Semantic Technology for internal staff

The Advanced Semantic Workshop was held in Quantum Beez from 16 - 20 Nov 09. This 5-day training was conducted by an international expert from Silicon Valley, USA. Participants ranged from Knowledge Engineers, Programmers, Solution Architects, Bioinformaticians as well as Biotechnology personnel. The modules covered include Semantic Languages, Work and Extending Ontology, Semantic Database review, LISP Language and much more. Heightened knowledge has been gained to be utilized in Semantic Database Development. Knowledge can now be encoded into structured forms and “interrogated” without the need of human operators.
