On the January 15, 2003, the Sair Linux & GNU Launching Ceremony was successfully held at Rashid Theaterette, UPM-MTDC Technology Center One. This event marked the awarding of the sole distributorship of SAIR Linux & GNU Certification / Training Program in Malaysia and Singapore to Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd by its principal Thomson NETg. We also took this opportunity to reveal our in-house training product for Linux/Open Source, the OPENLX Series.

We were honored to have Dato' Yatina Tan Sri Dato' Seri Yahaya, Chairman of National IT Special Projects, DRB-HICOM Berhad to officiate the event. She was also there to witness the Gift Exchange Ceremony between the representative of NETg and our Founder Chairman, Dr. Azman Firdaus Shafii as a sign of goodwill.

The event kicked off at 10.45am with the arrival of our honorable guests, followed by a welcoming speech by our friendly resident master of ceremonies, Mr. Alan Ng at 11.30am. The agenda for the day continued with a speech by our Founder Chairman, Dr. Azman and a speech by Mr. Jeffrey Klimas, the representative from NETg.

The climax of the event was none other than the launching ceremony whereby High Performance Computing (HPC) technology was used to display the event title in a most creative and impressive manner (see pictures below). Other highlights included the Gift Exchange Ceremony and the "Makan-makan or Eat-eat Session" at OSS with our guests.

The day ended with a small talk by Dr. Azman Firdaus Shafii to the Aldrich staff and each staff member received a token of appreciation from the company.
