Dr. Azman Firdaus Shafii, Founder Chairman & CEO of Aldrix Group (comprises of Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd and NanoBiotech Sdn Bhd) was invited for a talk on "ICT: Membangunkan Usahawan Teknopreneur Ke Arah Kecemerlangan" and a Dialogue Session held at Menara Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) at Petaling Jaya on 16th January 2007 from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.

Open Source Systems welcomes Puan Noreenhafiza Arifin, a new addition to the company as an Assistant Manager Finance & Admin. Graduated from Thames Valley University, London, United Kingdom in year 2002, with a BA (Hons) Accounting and Business Finance.

Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) welcomes a new addition to the company, Zainuddin Bin Mat Rabi as an Admin Assistant. Mr. Zainuddin holds a Diploma in Management from Pusat Technologi and Pengurusan Lanjutan (PTPL, Shah Alam).

In 31st December 2006, OSS had successfully setup a 32-processor high performance computing (HPC) cluster, code-name 'Aleathia', for Chemistry Department of University Malaya.

The cluster consists of 5 servers with Intel(r) Xeon CPU 3.00GHz and 6 servers with Intel(r) Pentium(r) D CPU 2.66GHz running on Gigabit ethernet connection. This cluster is used to catalyst the development / research of several unenclosed mathematical based chemical engineering algorithm, headed by Associate Professor Dr. Christopher Jesudason.

On the 6 - 8th of December 2006 , Open Source Systems Sdn. Bhd. (OSS) was invited by the Malaysia Genome Insitute (MGI) to be part of the exhibitors at the MGI booth for the BioMalaysia 2006
