(HPC) cluster to Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS)

Open Source Systems (OSS) has recently won a contract to provide a 2-node
Dual AMD Opteron based High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster for the
Malaysian Institute for Nuclear Technology Research (MINT). The
4-processor Linux cluster served as testbed for MINT in terms of using
clusters for their research. The cluster has been installed with various
physics applications such as FLUENT, Abaqus and Monte Carlo N-Particle.
Open Source Systems (OSS) has showcased a visualization tool called Vis5D at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been chosen to be the venue for the 7th Asia Open Source Software Symposium, it is co-organized by the Center of International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC) and MIMOS Berhad with support from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia and Malaysian Administration Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) of the Prime Minister Department. The 7th Asia OSS Symposium hopes to further strengthen the International collaboration in establishing the concept of Asia OSS ecosystem among the members as well as initiating regional OSS initiatives and projects among Asian economies. The theme for the 7th Asia Open Source Software Symposium is "Towards Asia Open Source Software Ecosystem for Sustainable Development."
