Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) has become an exclusive Bradford Learning Authorized Training Partner since March 22, 2005. OSS will be providing Bradford Learning Linux Professional Institute (LPI) courseware. The 4 certification courseware products offered are LPI101, LPI102, LPI201 and LPI202.

Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) welcomes a new addition to the company, Cheok Lai Fong, as a Systems Engineer/ Certified Trainer. Fong graduated from Sunway College and holds a B. Sc (Hons) Degree in Computer Studies (NCC).

MIMOS Berhad organized the 2nd Workshop on Development of a National-Level Technology Roadmap for Bioinformatics on the September 27 and 28, 2005. The workshop was held in Boulevard Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Researchers from various universities, research institutes and industrial sectors, including Open Source Systems Sdn. Bhd (OSS). were invited to participate in this 2 days workshop. The main objective is to generate a fundamental roadmap for the development of bioinformatics in Malaysia.

First things first, after a spout of employees leaving for studies and “greener pastures”, the company is growing back again as we welcomed more new staff to the company: Bih Hua (Software Development Engineer, Bioinformatics) and Lai Fong (Linux Systems Engineer & Trainer). Bih Hua has been working in Open Source Systems (OSS) for more than a week already and Lai Fong will be joining us in October 2005.
