Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) welcomes a new addition to the company, Mohd Shakir bin Zakaria, as a Linux Systems Engineer. Mohd Shakir graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with a Degree in Computer Science. He is currently pursuing his part-time Master of Science - Pervasive Computing in Institute of Multimedia and Software, UPM.

Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) conducted a PHP & MySQL Basic Level Training to a group of 22 people, comprising personnels from various government departments namely Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Bahagian Hal Ehwal Undang-Undang (BHEUU) from Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Kementerian Sumber Manusia and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
BioInformatics Symposium 2005 at HELP University College

A two-day symposium entitled "IT Comes ALIVE!" was held at Theatrette of HELP University College on Monday, July 25, 2005 and Tuesday, July 26, 2005. The main objective of the symposium was to give the local and overseas researchers a chance to meet and discuss about bioinformatics from different study fields and perspectives. This symposium also gave a better understanding of bioinformatics to the younger generation who participated in the event.
