OSS and AMD Combine Might Again. Target: Perak ICT Week

Once again, the partnership of Open Source Systems (OSS) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) showed that real great technologies speak for themselves. This time around, OSS lent its assistance in the AMD’s booth at the Perak ICT Week. The five-day event (30th May – 3rd June 2005) was held in conjunction with the official launch of the Perak ICT BLUEPRINT, a roadmap which will propel Perak to become a K-State (a savvy term for a knowledge-based state) within the next few years.
OSS Founder Chairman & CEO, Dr Azman Firdaus Shafii played a big role in realizing this roadmap as he is the state’s ICT advisor. Together with fellow Perakians who have made it big at the centre stage, Dr Azman has strived to ensure that exciting things will be happening in the beautiful state of Perak soon.

Open Source Systems (OSS) has recently won a tender to provide the Malaysian Meteorological Service (MMS) with a 40-AMD Opteron processor High Performance Computing (HPC) system for their research in Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP).
The Jabatan Perkhidmatan Kajicuaca Malaysia (JPKM) (Malaysian Meteorological Service (MMS) in English), which is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), is responsible for activities related to the monitoring of weather conditions and seismic activities in the Malaysia.

Set up as a platform for Malaysia to share and solicit ideas on harnessing the potential of biotechnology in Malaysia, BioMalaysia2005 was given the honours of being officiated by YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

term Open Source Systems Implementation in Malacca Government
Departments and Agencies. Thirty representative from various
departments and agencies confirmed attendance in this workshop
including YBhg Encik Azizan Hamid, Timbalan Setiausaha Kerajaan
Melaka.
