A seminar entitled "Biokimia Pemacu Bioteknologi" was held at Kompleks Bestari, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on Saturday, February 19, 2005.
The main objective of the seminar was to give the undergraduate students an opportunity to know the importance and the development in scientific research, especially in the areas of biochemistry and biotechnology.

“How do we stay competitive in our business?” was the rhetorical question that Dr Azman threw to the staff in the first staff management talk of 2005. In the fast pace age of the 21st century, where speed is everything, this question indeed needs to be answered and understood. What more when the main industries that we focus on are niche and specialized areas. High performance computing, virtual reality and bioinformatics, not even Walmart, Tesco or Carrefour, big giant hypermarkets they may be, sell products related to these areas.
High Performance Computing System for University of Malaya

Open Source Systems Sdn. Bhd. recently secured another order from University of Malaya to deliver a High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster to the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, headed by Professor Dr. Azizan Haji Abu Samah. This HPC Cluster will be used for MM5 (mesoscale model), and to explore other areas of numerical weather prediction.
