The 16th technology forum, organized by Multimedia Development Corporation was held at Rajawali Block, Cyberview Gardens, Cyberjaya on December 19, 2003 from 9am-12noon. The title of the forum was "Open Source Software - Ready for the Big League?". En. Farul Mohd. Ghazali, Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd's (OSS) Systems and Bioinformatics Manager was one of the speakers at the forum. He gave a talk on the topic, "Maximizing Open Source" in various sectors such as Government, Education, Research and Development as well as Private sectors.

On November 11, 2003, a forum on Microsoft versus Open Source was held at Bilik Galium, Telekom R&D Tower, UPM-MTDC. Organized by the management of Telekom R&D, the forum is to bring awareness to the personnels in Telekom R&D on the values that both sides could offer.

The Train the Trainer (TtT) program for Graduates Retraining Scheme II (SLGII) was successfully launched on October 3, 2003 at Pearl International Hotel, Kuala Lumpur by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB). This TtT program was held by PSMB to ensure what the trainees have learned is aligned appropriately to the curriculum structure developed. In addition, the TtT is programed need to ensure that the required quality and scope of teaching by PSMB is delivered.

The opening ceremony began with a welcoming note by Mr. Lim Kah Cheng, Training & Development Manager of PSMB. He gave a clearer picture on how and why the TtT program needed to be held. This was followed by a series of 3-session presentation provided by various trainers/experts in the SLGII programs such as Linux System Administrator (LSA), Microsoft Certification System Engineer (MCSE), Business Accounting (BA), CISCO and others.

Open Source Systems Sdn Bhd (OSS) welcomes a new addition to the company. Mr Chin Jay Sean, Senior Software Engineer, is a Masters graduate of Advanced Computer Science Majoring in High Performance Computing from University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Jay Sean is not that 'new' to OSS. Jay Sean had joined OSS as an industrial trainee back in 2001 during his undergraduate days. Jay Sean is glad that he can be of service to OSS again. He hopes that with his broad development experience in C, Java and Open GL, he can be of much added value to the company in the company's projects. Jay Sean commenced work on September 23, 2003.
